Singles: Sunday 2pm

This is an open event for all members of the public. It is not exclusive to Lost Forest members.

Details:

This event will take place at Lost Forest Tennis Club in Houston, TX on August 24th and 25th. 

There are eight divisions in pickleball event: Men’s Doubles Intermediate, Men’s Doubles Open ($), Women’s Doubles Intermediate, Women’s Doubles Open ($), Mixed Doubles Intermediate, Mixed Doubles Open ($), Coed Junior Doubles Open, and Singles ($).

There are thirteen divisions in the tennis event: Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Men's Singles, Women's Singles, 18 and Under Boys Singles, 18 and Under Girls Singles, 14 and Under Boys Doubles, 14 and Under Girls Doubles, 18 and Under Boys Singles, 18 and Under Girls Singles, 14 and Under Boys Doubles, 14 and Under Girls Doubles. 

Prize Pool:

The total prize pool will be $1,500

Men's Doubles: 1st: $200, 2nd: $120, 3rd: $80

Women's Doubles: 1st: $200, 2nd: $120, 3rd: $80

Mixed Doubles: 1st: $200, 2nd: $120, 3rd: $80

Coed Singles: 1st: $150, 2nd: $100, 3rd: $50

If less than 8 teams (10 singles players) per division, prize money will be paid out using the following percentages:

1st: 35% of division entry fees

2nd: 17% of division entry fees

3rd: 8% of division entry fees

Format:

There are two types of divisions in this tournament: Open and Intermediate. Open divisions are for cash prize money. The suggested skill level for the Open Division is 3.5 and above, however anyone is welcome to play and compete for the prize money. The Intermediate Division is for players who play pickleball for fun.

Exact tournament format is subject to change based on the amount of teams signed up, however:

• Open Division has a 4-match guarantee
• Intermediate Division has a 3-match guarantee

Additional Notes:

-Both players need to report the score together to the tournament desk after the match in order to ensure accurate results.

-Follow the tournament on the link in the homepage of the website, as well as in your email. It is a Google Sheet with match times and the draws, so be sure to follow it.

-Matches can be played indoors or outdoors depending on weather and court space.

-Rain/Inclement Weather Policy: If your division has begun play, and the event is cancelled, there are no refunds. However, if your division has not begun play, and the event is cancelled, then you will receive a rain-check voucher code by email to use in your next tournament.
