This event will take place at Lost Forest Tennis Club in Houston, TX on June 1- June 2. There are eight divisions in this event: Men’s Doubles Advanced, Men’s Doubles Open, Women’s Doubles Advanced, Women’s Doubles Open, Mixed Doubles Advanced, Mixed Doubles Open, Junoir Doubles Open, and Skinny Singles.
Prize Pool:
The total prize pool for this tournament is $1200.*
*This can go up or down depending on number of entries per division.
Format:
PRIZE MONEY Advanced Divisions: This event will use a pool play format that breaks into bracket play based on pool play seeding. The exact format will vary depending on draw size. This is a four match guarantee. All pool play matches are played as Best of 1 set to 15 points. All bracket play matches are played as Best of 1 set to 15 points. It is "win by two points "no matter what. There will be a 3rd/4th playoff for prize money purposes.
Open Divisions: This event will use a double elimination format with a three match guarantee. All Open division matches are played Best of 1 set to 15 points, "win by two points" no matter what.
Additional Notes:
-Both players need to report the score together to the tournament desk after the match in order to ensure accurate results.
-Follow the tournament on the link in the homepage of the website, as well as in your email. It is a Google Sheet with match times and the draws, so be sure to follow it.
-Matches can be played indoors or outdoors depending on weather and court space.
-Rain/Inclement Weather Policy: If your division has begun play, and the event is cancelled, there are no refunds. However, if your division has not begun play, and the event is cancelled, then you will receive a rain-check voucher code by email to use in your next tournament.
