Tournament Format
United Pickleball Experience is dedicated to providing you an amazing tournament experience. This includes providing free bottled water and bananas to all players. Additionally, we strive to provide you with more matches than our competitors. In all of our tournaments, we use a mixed format, beginning with pool play, and then using that to provide the seeding for bracket play. The exact details regarding the number of pools and bracket play format is dependent on the number of entrants.
United Pickleball Experience provides 3 different tournament levels: 300, 600, and 1000. Similar to professional tennis, the higher the number of the event, the more UPE Tournament points and prize money is awarded to players. UPE 300 events have a maximum of 300 Tournament Points that can be won by winning the event. The same is true for UPE 600 and UPE 1000 events, respectively. The UPE Tournament Points are used in calculating the Official UPE Rankings, located here. These rankings will determine priority entry into major events, as well as crowning the United Pickleball Experience Year-End Champion in all divisions.
